Insert the code (I had luck with: 05401508) Get the latest official Hewlett Packard (HP) LaserJet P4015 printer drivers for Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, XP PCs. If not, do the following:Įnter the service menu (Found in the bottom of the menu) When you've cleared that, be sure to print a configuration page again, to see if "Printer Serial Number", "Service ID" and "Pages Since last Maintenance" is the same as the config page you printed before following the steps. Please note, there are more steps on the website, but I didn't see the need to do those, since I only had to clear the error. Turn the printer off wait 15 seconds and power up the printer. Press the OK button twice if needed until the highlighted cursor is the letter “C” in the word “Clear”. Scroll down until you see “Clear All RFU Errors”. Press the OK button and then the MENU Button. Continue holding down the STOP button until all three printer control-panel lights flash once and then remain on. Hold down the STOP button (key with a red “X” with circle around it) when you see the memory counts begin. Power on the printer and watch for the memory count to begin. So I cleared the message by doing the following:īE SURE TO PRINT A CONFIGURATION PAGE BEFORE THIS! Sorry, I didn't resend the update to the printer displaying "Resend update" since it said it was already fully updated on the configuration page. When I had disconnected those I tried to update the printer again, no errors this time, and the printer was back in Ready state. The problem with the "Resend Update" text, was because of the optional extra paper feeders connected to the printer during the update. Then everything worked like a charm on that printer again.

I fixed that by swapping the formatter board with another printer that was about to be trashed. The one printer I wrote about in the post had multiple issues, and at some point I think the flash got corrupt somehow, because the screen was totally blank when I turned it on.
